●Necklace Restringing
A customer during June's campaign period brought in a necklace that had been sitting unused at home. Upon inspection, it was indeed found to have loose string.
If the string is loose, the pearls can shift and become more prone to breakage due to friction. If, as shown in the second image, when you remove the clasp and hold the necklace vertically, you can see about one pearl's worth of string, then it's time for treatment (restringing).
